Anthony Gambino, MD is one of the leading  interventional cardiologists on the east coast today. Having performed more interventional procedures then most cardiovascular interventionalists, Dr. Gambino brings an unparalleled level of experience to his patients undergoing invasive cardiovascular procedures.

Dr. Gambino is a Diplomate of the American Board  of Internal Medicine with board certifications in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology. His postgraduate training  included residency training in Internal Medicine and fellowships  in Clinical Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology at Winthrop University Hospital. Prior to joining Island Cardiac Specialists, Dr. Gambino served as the Director of the Cardiac Catheterization laboratory at Winthrop University Hospital for many years. Many of his patient oriented policies are still utilized by  Cardiac Catheterization Labs today.

Dr. Gambino is involved in numerous research programs and was one of the leading contributing interventionalists in the New York State  C-Port  trials.
